they had so much fun going up and down the driveway. we raced back and forth. played red light, green light. i'm glad that you can't get your license until 16, otherwise we'd be in big trouble with lauren. she doesn't like to stop at red lights! although neither do a lot of houston drivers!all in all today went fairly smoothly. we played in the driveway again in the afternoon after our rest time. it was so beautiful by then that we couldn't let that pass us by! eric, our neighbor across the street, stopped by to visit for a little while. we stayed out until the sun went down and then went in to eat random stuff for dinner. that's one of my favorite things about james being out of town. we don't have to eat a real meal. we can eat goldfish, a toaster strudel pastry, and a bowl of fruit loops. that was what lauren picked out. or we can eat eggo waffles and a snack size bag of fudge cookies. that was jared. i'm sure daddy is rolling his eyes after reading that! ha ha!
anyway........our bedtime ritual went off without any issues. i think all the running around outside wore them down and they were asleep within a few minutes of me kissing them goodnight. just the way i like it!
