out on the town

today was a busy day for us. while jared and lauren spent the day with daddy running errands, playing light sabers, and resting...brandon and i went to conroe to visit my grandparents and to attend a baby shower.

it was so nice getting out of the house for a little while. of course as soon as we got to pawpaw and rickeys, i realized brandon had made a mess in his brand new calvin klein outfit. but ricky came to the rescue and washed it for me! after that little situation was remedied, pawpaw held the baby and gave him a little bottle. my grandpa couldn't get over brandon kind of talking as he drank the bottle! of course i didn't have my video camera! i took some pictures of pawpaw holding brandon.

this first one, i just love how brandon has his hand on my grandpa's. i plan on cropping it for his scrapbook.
this picture makes my heart melt. reminds me of the picture that i took with lauren and my grandmother in the summer of '07. her hands were wrapped around lauren so sweet just like pawpaws are wrapped around brandon.
we had lunch and oh my it was good. rickey made these to die for turkey sandwiches with bacon, avocado and this really good honey mustard mayonnaise mix. i'm starting to salivate as i type this. pretty sure that knocked my points off the charts for weight watchers today! oh well!!!

before heading out, we changed brandon back into his cute little ck outfit. brandon was looking so sweet that we had to take more pictures!!! i love how alert brandon is in these photos. and my grandmother just adores the little dude!

at 1 p.m. brandon and i had to head out to sara's baby shower. it would have been nice to stay longer. being at the lake is so peaceful. i can't wait until warmer weather when we can go out and sit by the lake. my grandparents have an awesome yard, so it will be fun to take pictures of the kids out there again.

sara's baby shower was a lot of fun. it was one of the nicest showers i have ever attended (besides my own). she looked beautiful and i hope that she felt loved and supported by all of us who attended.

after the shower we stopped at the carter's store, but i pretty much had everything they were selling. we stopped at lone star and i ended up buying a bunch of new paper and embellishments. i'm so excited to work on a project for brandon's room. hopefully i'll be able to find some time before he outgrows his nursery! ha ha.

i came home from our day out and had planned on leaving brandon with james and going out to scrapbook with a sweet mom from lauren's mother's day out, but i fell asleep on the floor after nursing brandon and didn't wake up until 3 a.m. a little too late to head out! hopefully soon i can get together with her and create some pages for b's baby book.
