clean house

after a long day of trying to comfort brandon (stomach issues?), taylor came over to help watch the kiddos. i decided that since i was paying her, that i should use that time wisely. while she watched the big kids play light sabers and ride their big wheels on the driveway and held litttle man, i cleaned the bathrooms, kitchen and pretty much picked up the entire house. it felt so nice to be able to walk around the house without risking breaking my neck on a {toy} landmine! we ate some of the tater tot casserole that rickey and i made yesterday and it was delicious. well, i thought it was good. jared and lauren were like, "what the heck is this?" i did convince jared to eat most of it. lauren wasn't having it. so they got a little leftover pizza to supplement!

taylor wanted a few pictures with little dude. this was my favorite. he's such a cuddlebug!

we are really missing daddy. lauren doesn't really understand why daddy can't be here. jared seems to be coping well. we have made a little countdown game out of it. it really helps that we've had plans pretty much every day this week for someone to come over or for us to get out of the house. two weeks is just an insane amount of time to be away from your family, especially when you have little ones.

this morning before lauren left for mdo, i tried to get her to take a picture for daddy. she was not really having it. she kept saying, "i don't want to take a picture for that daddy." it took about 10 minutes of me begging before i could get this. so here you go daddy...lauren and tomkitty tail!
