i have been feeling so guilty lately. i've always tried to do something special with jared and lauren, but lately it has just been so difficult doing some of the things we used to do. when i found out elmo was coming to houston and we could get a good price on the tickets (through our mother's day out), i jumped on it. i thought it would be something really neat that lauren and i could do together. i knew that the baby would have to go with us, but at least it was something bigger than going to target for lunch! she had such a great time! lauren was dancing in the aisles, cheering the characters on, and she sang along with the songs that she knew from watching sesame street. my favorite part was when they sang the song from the ladybug picnic! they even did a number of the day...6!
trying to get a picture in this place was just ridiculous. i didn't bring my big camera, so i knew that they wouldn't be that great. and then the AA batteries ran out. just my luck. so we only have a few pictures. thankfully we were able to get one of the two of us. well, three if you count brandon in the bjorn! 
after the show was over (and after i talked lauren through her meltdown...i have no idea what set her off), we went over by the pedestrian bridge that you used to walk across to get to astroworld. we had a short little picnic. it was so much fun. lauren finished her lunch and then decided she wanted to roll down the little hill.
and of course, when jared got out of school she was like, "i got to see elmo, and eat popcorn, and see elmo, and ride the big white bus!" now i have to come up with something special for jared!
